Profile
CPA, Dr. Fred Ochogo Sporta is a campus director at KCA University Kitengela campus and a senior lecturer in accounting and Finance at the School of business (SOB) at KCA University (KCAU), he is an expert with a vast experience in accounting & financial reporting, he was co-opted council member of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) between 2019 to 2022. CPA, Dr. Sporta also doubles as one of the of Panel of expert (PoE) in Accounting and Financial Reporting at The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), and a trainer upon request on financial reporting in many institutions among them, ICPAK and Kenya School of Government (KSG).
CPA, Dr. Sporta holds a PhD degree in Business Administration Finance Option (JKUAT), Master of Business Administration (KU), Bachelor of Business Management (Moi University), Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (KASNEB), and he is also a full member in good standing at ICPAK. He has further taken a short course in theology from World Bible College.
He started his career as both an accountant and assistant lecturer on part-time basis in various colleges within Nairobi. He was an accountant with nationwide credit between 2007 and 2009, and thereafter joined Health and water foundation, Pluto security limited between 2010 and 2011. He started his professional lecturing career as a part time tutor for professional courses in various Colleges in Nairobi as well as Kenya Polytechnic (now Technical University) in 2006, 2009, 2010 & 2011 respectively before joining KCA University as an assistant Lecturer in the School of Professional Programmes, He would later be appointed a full-time lecturer at the School of Business in the same University. Alongside lecturing in class he is an online presenter of CPA materials in collaboration with Manifested publishers Ltd. CPA Dr Sporta has authored and published highly competent academic and research papers in the areas of accounting and finance, as well as presenting some of them in various conferences both in Kenya and USA. He has attended several workshops and seminars both at College and University levels
